How NextGen Electricians Became the First Electrician Google Shows in Bacchus Marsh

Electrician covering Bacchus Marsh, Melton and the road to Ballarat. Harley was getting work from Facebook groups and word of mouth. Four months on, NextGen is first in the map pack, named first by the AI assistants, and gets enquiries every week from search alone.

  • 56 enquiries from Google Ads between April and August, at $75 each

The Problem

A Great Sparky Running on Facebook Posts

Harley had the licence, the EV charger accreditation and 131 five-star reviews when we started in April 2026. The work was good and the customers said so.

The website was not pulling its weight. It only showed up when someone typed the business name. New work came from posting in local Facebook groups and hoping someone needed a sparky that week.

The goal was simple. Make NextGen the electrician people in Bacchus Marsh find first, on Google, on Maps and in the AI assistants, so the diary fills without Harley chasing it.

The Solution

Everything Needed to Get NextGen Found

1

The Groundwork First

Keyword research, a competitor breakdown and a 12-month roadmap before a line of code. 59 keywords across 9 service clusters, about 10,500 searches a month across the corridor.

2

A Website Built to Get Calls

A fast, clean site with a page for every service, an EV charger quote tool, and a call button you cannot miss on a phone. Live on 20 May 2026.

3

A Page for Every Town

Dedicated pages for Bacchus Marsh, Melton and Ballarat, so each town has its own shot at ranking on Google.

4

The Google Listing Sorted

Google Business Profile set up properly with the right services, hours and photos, plus a post every week, so the map listing stays alive.

5

Google Ads That Pay

Two search campaigns, one for general electrical work and one for EV chargers, pointed only at people in the corridor searching right now.

6

Found in AI Search

Factual, answer-first pages with the licence, the reviews and the service area spelled out, so ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude have something to quote.
