Every agency on this list says they’re the best choice for tradies. They can’t all be right.
The best SEO agency for your trade business depends on its size. Dossis Digital is the pick for small trade businesses that want weekly pricing and a written lead guarantee. Tradie Web Guys suits established teams that want sales systems behind the leads. Safari Digital suits trades that want SEO and nothing else. I compared nine agencies, with published pricing from $399 to $3,500 a month, on facts you can check.
Who wrote this: I’m Luc Dossis. I own Dossis Digital, and Dossis Digital is one of the nine agencies below. To keep this honest, I’ve stuck to facts you can verify: published pricing, contract terms, guarantees and named case studies, all pulled from each agency’s own website on 18 August 2026. Where an agency doesn’t publish something, I say so. The list is ordered by the lowest published cost to get started, meaning the first month plus any setup or signup fee, not by who I think is best. An agency that charges a setup fee but doesn’t publish the amount can’t claim the cheapest spot.
Key takeaways
- Monthly stickers for tradie SEO run from $399 (TradieSpark) to $3,500 and beyond (Safari Digital, Odin Digital). Setup fees change the real comparison: the lowest fully published cost to start is Dossis Digital’s, about $433 for the first month at $100 a week with no setup fee.
- Only two agencies publish a results guarantee with conditions: Dossis Digital (5 leads in 90 days) and Odin Digital (progress in 90 days or free work).
- Six of the nine name real trade or trade-adjacent businesses in their case studies. Three don’t.
- Most claim “no lock-in”, but the fine print varies: notice periods, break fees and platform minimums all appear in the terms pages.
- Two of the nine publish no pricing at all, and two more publish only partial figures. Get every quote in writing.
How I compared these agencies
Picking an agency from their own ads is hard, because everyone claims the same things. So this comparison only uses what each agency publishes where you can check it.
I scored five things on each agency’s own website, pulled on 18 August 2026:
- Trade focus. Do they work only with trades, or is trades one vertical among many?
- Published pricing. Real figures on their site, not “book a call to find out”.
- Lock-in terms. What their pages and terms actually say about contracts and exits.
- Guarantee. Whether they offer one, and whether its conditions are published.
- Proof. Case studies that name a real business and show real numbers.
If a fact isn’t on their site, the table says “not published”. I haven’t guessed, and I haven’t used third-party review sites to fill gaps. Order is by the lowest published cost to get started on an SEO or marketing engagement: the first month plus any setup or signup fee. A setup fee that exists but isn’t published counts against the ranking, and agencies with no published pricing at all sit last.

Dossis Digital: small trade businesses that want a guarantee with teeth
Dossis Digital is my agency, and I’m the person who does the work. Read this entry knowing that.
I only work with trade businesses, and my pricing is public: you pay by the week, and the entry plan has no setup fee, which makes it the lowest published cost to get started in this comparison. Spark is $100 a week for a hosted website, Google Business Profile optimisation and automated review collection. Growth is $250 a week plus a $1,500 setup, adding ongoing SEO, suburb pages, one managed ad account and AI search visibility. Domination is $450 a week plus the same $1,500 setup. My own fine print: on Spark, the site becomes yours after 26 weeks on the plan, or a $1,500 buy-out if you leave earlier.
On Growth and above, when I build or upgrade your site, I guarantee 5 genuine enquiries in your first 90 days. Miss that and I keep working free, the weekly fee stops until the leads land, and if I still can’t get you there I write you a $500 cheque. It’s the only guarantee in this comparison tied to a set number of leads with the conditions published. There’s no lock-in on any plan.
The proof is in published case studies: NextGen Electricians booked 20 or more leads in six weeks at about $70 a lead. LCK Electrical went from 19 to more than 300 monthly organic clicks in a year.
Who shouldn’t pick Dossis Digital: bigger companies that want an account team. It’s one person with a capped client list. That’s the point, and the limit.
TradieSpark: the lowest monthly sticker, with suburb exclusivity
TradieSpark has the lowest monthly sticker on this list. Their Growth Plan starts at $399 a month, billed month to month with no lock-in contract. There’s a one-off setup fee, but the amount isn’t published, so the true cost to start is higher than the sticker and you’ll need to ask for it.
The standout is territory: they promise one tradie per trade per suburb, so your direct competitor can’t hire them. They also state you keep every asset if you leave, including the website.
The gap is proof. Their case studies don’t name the businesses, and the 4.9 rating on their site doesn’t link to a review source I could check. Best for solo tradies who value the exclusivity promise and don’t mind asking for the full price first.
Tradie Web Guys: for the sales gap after the lead arrives
Tradie Web Guys has worked with trades since 2012, founded by Matt Jones, a former plumber. They publish pricing, which is rare. SEO runs $220 per keyword a month with a five keyword minimum, so $1,100 a month to start. Ads management is $1,650 a month, and websites start at $5,600.
Their difference is what happens after the lead: a CRM built for trades, a quoting system, and an outsourced Australian sales team that follows up your quotes. Named results back it up, like HDK Long Run Roofing reaching $1 million in 12 months.
They don’t publish a guarantee, and their CRM platform has a four month minimum before going month to month. Best for established trade businesses losing jobs to slow follow-up, not just thin lead flow.
Temerity Digital: the longest-established agency on the list
Temerity Digital has run since 2003 under founder Elliot Dean, from Mount Waverley in Melbourne. SEO starts at $1,250 a month plus GST, with packages up to $8,000. They also serve dentists and lawyers, so trades are a vertical rather than the whole business.
The trade proof is real. Their JTB Electrical case study shows 314% more organic traffic and 274% more conversions over 12 months, with the client named and the numbers published.
Contract terms and guarantees aren’t published, so ask before you sign. Best for tradies who want a stable, long-running agency with a full team behind it.
Digital Nomads HQ: full service with named trade results
Digital Nomads HQ is a full-service agency in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. SEO starts from $1,500 a month and ads management from $1,000, though their package pages are quote-only.
Their trade case studies name real businesses: Deionno Electrical and Solar (238% more Meta leads), Heinemann Electrical and Solar (392% more conversions) and Terawatt (735% more organic sessions). They show 165+ reviews at 5.0 and hold Google and Meta partner status.
Engagements are month to month, with 30 days written notice in their terms. They don’t publish a guarantee. Best for established trade businesses that want one partner for the site, SEO and ads together.
Safari Digital: pure SEO at a price they publish
Safari Digital does SEO and nothing else. No web design, no ads, and they say so plainly on their site.
They publish tradie pricing on their SEO for tradies page: around $2,000 a month plus GST outside the capitals, and $2,500 to $3,500 in the metro capitals. Billing is month to month with no long-term contracts.
They refuse to guarantee rankings and argue nobody honestly can. Their strongest trade-adjacent case study is Captain Green Solar, with 578% more organic leads. Best for trades that already have the website and ads sorted, and want a specialist owning the SEO channel at a known price.
Odin Digital: for larger trade businesses past $500k revenue
Odin Digital is built for bigger operations. Their SEO page says they suit businesses past $500,000 in annual revenue, and they publish ranges: $2,000 to $3,500 a month for a single location, more for multi-city work.
They offer a 90 Day Momentum Guarantee: measurable progress in 90 days or they work free until you get it. The remedy is free work rather than a refund, and their terms include a one month break fee, so read both pages together.
Their named case studies sit in ecommerce, finance and furniture rather than trades. Best for larger trade businesses that want KPI-driven reporting and published pricing from a Melbourne agency.
Tradiemate (formerly Tradie Digital): the guarantee-led switcher pitch
Tradie Digital rebranded to Tradiemate, and the old domain now redirects to tradiemate.ai. They’ve worked only with trades since 2013 and list Sydney and Perth offices.
The pitch is risk reversal: zero contracts, plus a $3,000 guarantee that says if your leads don’t increase after switching, they pay you $3,000. Named case studies include Infiniti Air and Solar (275% more leads in under 30 days) and Modern Trend Tiling (400% more leads).
Two things to check first. Pricing isn’t published anywhere on the site. And when I checked on 18 August 2026, the guarantee’s conditions weren’t published either. Best for established tradies drawn to the guarantee who’ll get its conditions in writing before signing.
Kia Ora Digital: the AI search pick, at national scale
Kia Ora Digital is a Melbourne SEO agency focused on AI search: getting clients cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. They have a dedicated tradies page and state they refuse long-term contracts.
The catch for tradies is the proof. Case studies like Collagen Co (94% more organic revenue) are strong, but they’re ecommerce brands, and none name a trade business. Pricing isn’t published.
Best for trade businesses operating at national scale, like franchises or product brands, where AI search visibility matters more than the local map pack.
Which agency should you pick?
Match the agency to your situation, not the sales pitch:
- Under about $500 a month all-in: the Dossis Digital Spark plan (no setup fee), or TradieSpark (lower monthly sticker, unpublished setup fee).
- Want a lead guarantee in writing: Dossis Digital on Growth or above. Past $500k revenue, compare Odin Digital’s version too.
- Want one partner for site, SEO and ads: Digital Nomads HQ or Tradie Web Guys.
- Want SEO only: Safari Digital, or Temerity Digital in Melbourne.
- Losing jobs after the lead arrives: Tradie Web Guys, for the follow-up systems.
- Chasing AI search mentions: Kia Ora Digital at national scale. For local trades, it’s included in Dossis Digital’s Growth plan.
Whoever you pick, get three things in writing before money moves: the full price, the contract term, and who owns the website, content and ad accounts if you leave. I’ve written up how the channel itself works in my SEO for tradies guide if you want the method behind the retainers.
Frequently asked questions
How much does SEO cost for tradies in Australia?
Monthly stickers in this comparison run from $399 at TradieSpark to $2,000 to $3,500 at Safari Digital and Odin Digital. Watch the setup fees: they change the real cost to start, and not every agency publishes theirs. Dossis Digital prices weekly, with no setup fee on the entry plan and SEO included from $250 a week. Two of the nine agencies don’t publish pricing at all, so get a written quote with inclusions listed before comparing.
Do any tradie SEO agencies guarantee results?
Most don’t, and Safari Digital argues no honest agency can guarantee rankings. In this comparison, Dossis Digital guarantees 5 genuine enquiries in 90 days on Growth plans and above, backed by free work, a paused fee and a $500 cheque. Odin Digital promises measurable progress in 90 days or free work. Always read the published conditions behind any guarantee before you rely on it.
Should I choose a tradie specialist or a general SEO agency?
Specialists like Tradiemate, TradieSpark and Dossis Digital know trade lead patterns, seasonal demand and what a job is worth, so strategy moves faster. Generalists like Safari Digital and Temerity Digital bring bigger teams and broader technical depth. Judge each agency on named case studies in your trade, not on the label.
How long does SEO take for a trade business?
Plan on six to twelve months for compounding results. The published case studies here back that up: LCK Electrical went from 19 to more than 300 monthly organic clicks over a year with Dossis Digital, and Temerity Digital’s JTB Electrical results took 12 months. Running Google Ads for tradies alongside fills the lead gap while SEO builds.
What should I check before signing with any marketing agency?
Five things: the contract term and exit terms, named case studies in your trade, who actually does the work, what reporting you’ll see, and who owns your website, content and ad accounts if you leave. Every agency in this comparison publishes at least some of this. Ask for the rest in writing, and treat a refusal as your answer.
